i frequently forget why i even bother trying in the first place. my hope is so violent, i find it near impossible to stop it. all i need is a spark, and it ignites into a wildfire that i can’t control. i become a bystander. i watch it burn all reason and logic into ashes, and when there’s nothing left, it burns itself out.

emotions don’t always have to be shared. they don’t have to be said out loud, they don’t have to be written, and they don’t have to be explained. sometimes the best thing to do with all those mixed up feelings is to just feel them—the same way one feels the rain, the sun, and the wind.
i guess the coolest thing about having a next door neighbor with a pool (well, besides swimming in it if i could) is that it makes cool water reflections on my ceiling. it’s a little hypnotizing and relaxing to watch.
nobody seems to give anyone else a chance anymore.

i need to learn when it is appropriate to expect something from someone and when it is not, because i seem to have them switched all over the place. consequently, i have to piece myself together after the heartbreak of disappointment, and i’m rather tired of it.
